The Needlework And Textile Guild Of Michigan
The Needlework and Textile Guild of Michigan is a multidisciplinary fiber-art guild. The purpose of the guild is to bring together members who learn, share, teach, and participate in workshops, talks, and demonstrations relating to a wide variety of the fiber arts. Members have interests ranging from quilting and embroidery to weaving, wearable art, beading, and art dollmaking. Speakers are locally and nationally-recognized.

Our May 13th Meeting is devoted to sewing for the group
Sew Powerful Purses
We need sewers (bring your sewing machine, neutral colored thread, and needed accessories), folks to iron (irons provided), folks to prep (cut fabric &/or choose fabrics to use for each purse), and people to complete a pretty card with encouraging words to be included in every purse (blank cards provided).
If you can bring a cutting mat, a ruler, and rotary cutter or scissors, that would be very helpful as well.
Meeting Information
Meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, at St. Stephen Episcopal Church, 5500 N. Adams Rd., Troy, MI. [View Map] Guests are welcome to attend morning meetings ($5 guest fee).
Meetings begin at 9:30a.m. with Flea Market, Library, and Social time. The Business Meeting
starts at 10:00 and the Speaker's Program immediately follows that.
Yearly dues are $50 (prorated after January).
Workshops are open to guests when space is available, with an addition fee of $5 per each half day of class length.
